To start your Seasonal journey in Diablo 4 Season 4, the first step is to choose your class. Based on the recommended leveling builds provided, some good options to pick from are the Barrage Rogue, DS Dust Devil Barbarian, Firewall Sorcerer or Minion Necromancer builds. All of these leveling specs are quite strong and will make the leveling process efficient.
After selecting your class, it's time to begin the Seasonal Quest. Progress through the initial quest steps up until you reach the objective to gain Iron Wolf Honor from running the Helltides zone. Helltides will be your main leveling area for the majority of your journey to max level. It's a densely packed zone with lots of monsters to slay.
Before fully diving into Helltides, take a detour to complete the Raising Spirits quest in Kyovashad to earn some Bundled Herbs. These herbs are used to craft Precision Elixirs at the Alchemist, which provide a nice experience buff. Crafting a few of these elixirs will help boost your leveling gains.
With precisions elixirs in your inventory, it's time to start grinding out Helltides. Run through the zone clearing monsters as fast as possible. During the 5 minute break periods between Helltide events, take the time to salvage any unwanted items, optimize your gear stats and sockets, finish up any remaining Class Quest steps, and run the occasional dungeon to hunt for important Aspects that your build needs.
Continue running Helltides in this fashion until you reach level 35, at which point you'll be ready to take on your first Capstone Dungeon. Completing the Capstone is an important Seasonal Objective, so be sure your gear is in good shape before attempting it. Once victorious, you'll advance to the next World Tier.
Move into World Tier 3, and resume farming Helltides from levels 35 through 55 at an even faster pace thanks to your increased power. Same routine - optimizing gear and hunting Aspects during the 5 minute breaks. Be on the lookout for upgrades to your main damage dealing D4 Items .
Upon reaching level 55, you'll take on another Capstone Dungeon to cap off Tier 3. Before jumping in, temper your gear for maximum stats using Stones of Tempering dropped from elite monsters. Also consider stacking some Fire Resistance, as later Capstone bosses often deal fire damage.
Now in World Tier 4, power level through Helltides from 55 to 70. In addition to salvaging and optimizing during breaks, focus on completing the Whispers in the PvP area for important Seasonal quest credit.
Once level 70, it's time to start venturing into Nightmare Dungeons. Aim to do the highest tier you qualify for that provides +10 Monster Level or more, to maximize experience gains from mob kills. Running the Pit becomes an excellent solo XP option once you can stomach Tier 46 Nightmare difficulties.
Sticking to this regimented leveling path of focused Helltide farming punctuated with smart use of your break periods will allow you to efficiently push your character from level 1 up to the Season 4 level cap in no time to start reaping endgame rewards. Happy hunting!
